1960-1964 DISNEYLAND JAZZ CONCERTS
These one- and two-day events at Anaheim, California were immediate hits, when Disneyland opened it's gates at night for an annual jazz party, drawing large crowds into the park.
At the time, this was one of the few places where the attraction of massed bands with one admission charge was available, and in a most unique environment.
It has been said that all future jazz festivals were based on the principles that originated here.
